If you are submitting your poetry for consideration for "Indigenous Perspectives," please send your submission directly to email@example.com. Please do not submit it through Submittable. The submission guidelines for "Indigenous Perspectives" may be found athttp://www.malahatreview.ca/announcements/indigenous_issue_call.html.
Poetry submissions should consist of three to five poems (six pages of poetry maximum), on any subject and in any style. Manuscripts longer than 6 pages will not be read.
Please save your submission of poems in a single file that includes your cover letter (as the first page) in a .doc, .docx, .rtf or .pdf
Insert "Poetry Submission" when prompted by Submittable for a title in the Title field and list the title of each submitted poem in the body of your cover letter.
All the poems must be typed and single-spaced,
with each poem starting on a new page. All submissions must be paginated.
The magazine often accepts several poems by the same author; therefore, please do not limit your submission to a single poem.
Please also include your complete contact information (name, full mailing address, email address, telephone number) in the body of your cover letter and in a header or footer on each page of your submission. For statistical purposes, please make sure to indicate your province/state and/or country of origin in your cover letter.
Please also include a short biographical note either in the body of the letter or on a separate page.
Response times will vary from one to 6 months after the date of submission.
Poets may submit their work only once per calendar year.
